امام علیه السلام را دیدند با جامه‌ای کهنه و پینه زده در این باب از او پرسیدند، فرمود این جامه دل راخاشع و نفس را خوار می‌سازد و مؤمنان بدان اقتدا کنند دنیا و آخرت دو دشمن ناهمگون‌اند و دو راهند مخالف هم آن که دنیا را دوست داشت و مهر آن را در دل کاشت آخرت را دشمن می‌دارد و با آن دشمنی خواهد کرد دنیا و آخرت به مثابه مشرق و مغرب‌اند وکسى که میان آن دو سیر می‌کند وکسى که میان آن دو سیر می‌کند هرگاه به یکى نزدیک شود از دیگرى دور می‌گردد و یا چون دو زن هستند در نکاح یک شوى.
