Privacy Policy

HaqqBase is designed for anonymous library use. You can browse Quran, Hadith, search, and verification tools without creating an account.

What we store

• Optional account data: email, name, profile image URL, locale, hashed password (if you choose email/password), OAuth account links (e.g. Google), and email verification status.
• Synced reading data: Quran and Hadith bookmark categories, reader display preferences, reading progress, personal notes, and highlight offsets / optional snippets. Notes and highlights never rewrite sacred or licensed source text.
• Device-only data: theme/appearance and some guest bookmarks may stay in your browser localStorage until you import or sign in.
• Session cookies: Auth.js session cookies to keep you signed in. See also our cookie use below.

Cookies

Essential cookies authenticate your session. Preference cookies/localStorage remember appearance and guest reader settings. We do not use advertising trackers.

Retention and deletion

Account data is retained while your account exists. You may delete your account from the Account page, which removes profile, bookmarks, progress, notes, and highlights. For access or erasure requests, use the report-issue / contact link in the footer.

Processors

Hosting and database may run on Vercel and Neon. Transactional email (verification and password reset) may use Resend when configured. OAuth sign-in may use Google when enabled.
