اگر با این شمشیرم بر بینى مؤمن بزنم که مرا دشمن بدارد دشمن نخواهد داشت و اگر تمام دنیا را در گلوى منافق بریزم که مرا دوست بدارد، دوست نخواهد داشت واین، از آنروست، که حکم خداى بر زبان پیامبر امى (صلى الله علیه و آله) گذشت. که فرمود: «اى على! هیچ مؤمنى ترا دشمن نمیدارد و هیچ منافقى تو را دوست نخواهد داشت»!
