خداى تعالى میفرماید: «تا بر آنچه از دستتان میرود اندوهگین نباشید و بدانچه به دستتان میآید شادمانى نکنید» سوره حدید - ۲۳ و کسی که بر گذشته افسوس نخوردو بر آینده شادمان نباشد زهد را از هر دو سو در اختیار گرفته است.
